The Story.

I've always made things.

Music, first. Then photography. Creative work has been my constant — the way I make sense of the world, and my way of connecting with the people in it. But nothing has absorbed me quite like chocolate.

It started, as many good things do, with a kitchen experiment. In 2018, I was making rum balls when someone suggested wrapping one in chocolate. I tried it. It was extraordinary. And I couldn't stop thinking about why.

That moment sent me down a path I didn't expect. Over the years that followed, I sought out knowledge wherever I could find it — studying under some of the world's leading chocolatiers from the US, the UK, and Europe. I learned the science of tempering, the discipline of working with fine couverture, the art of hand-painting a shell. I learned that chocolate sits at the intersection of chemistry and creativity, and that when you get both right, something genuinely remarkable happens.

Yearn Chocolates was born from that belief.

I wanted to create something that felt different from the moment it arrived — not just another box of chocolates, but an experience. Something that made you stop before you even took a bite. Something worth giving, and worth receiving.

That's why every Yearn box contains just four chocolates. Not because we couldn't fill more, but because we chose not to. Each piece is generously sized, individually hand-painted, and made in small batches in Melbourne. The format is deliberate — four chocolates invite you to slow down, to pay attention, to actually taste what's in front of you.

The designs change. The flavours evolve. Every collection is its own conversation between colour, texture, and taste. Some pieces are bold and dramatic. Others are quieter — but look closely, and there's always something to discover.

My vision for Yearn has always been broader than a box of chocolates. I believe that genuine luxury belongs in more places than it currently lives — that the right chocolate, in the right setting, can elevate an entire experience. That's the direction we're heading.

But it all begins here, in Melbourne, made by hand, one chocolate at a time.
